ISS Expedition 12 refers to the twelfth long-term resident crew onboard the International Space Station (ISS), operated by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). This expedition, which began on April 18, 2004, and ended on October 26, 2004, was a part of the ISS' continuous human occupation that started in November 2000. The crew during Expedition 12 consisted of Commander Michael Lopez-Alegria (NASA) and Flight Engineer Mikhail Tyurin (Roscosmos). During their tenure, they conducted various scientific experiments, performed maintenance tasks, and docked with several spacecraft to deliver supplies and crew members. The ISS serves as a multinational collaborative project involving NASA, Roscosmos, JAXA, ESA, CSA, and other international partners.
