This is a permanent preservation disc. Ameling, who was also popular in Japan, made many recordings for labels other than the PHILIPS label, and this collection of Schubert's Lieder is probably one of the most highly acclaimed of them all. As a German Lieder singer, her delicate and lovely voice with moderately restrained vibrato was widely supported by listeners as one of the standards before the old style of singing became popular. Of course, as time has progressed and various interpretations have been accepted, the orthodox singing of German lieder has been handed down for a long time. Ameling, in particular, has many fans, and there are many who would like to hear this representative recording in better sound quality. This reissue includes two of the most representative Schubert albums of the analog era in their original form, and the latest, original 2-channel analog master tapes from the country of origin have been carefully conditioned by CLASSIC SOUND of the UK, who have been involved in this project up until now, and then mastered to respect the wishes of the production team, including the engineers of the time. The mastering was done respecting the wishes of the production team including the engineer at the time, so you can enjoy the best sound quality at the moment. Please enjoy the great performances and masterpieces of the analog era. In addition to these Schubert recordings, Ameling Solo and Baldwin recorded 10 songs including Schubert's "Songs of the Green Fields" in the analog era and 13 songs in the digital era, including "On Music" in 1982 (and an album with R. Jansen and (There is also an album of 13 songs recorded in 1984 with R. Jansen and others). This is the first time for PHILIPS (now DECCA) to release SA-CDs of this album, although the PENTATONE label has previously released SA-CDs of the tracks in the past. (1/2)
