The 119th Pennsylvania Infantry was a military unit that served during the American Civil War under the Union Army. Formed in 1864, it was one of several regiments raised in response to President Abraham Lincoln's call for troops to replace those lost or nearing the end of their service terms. The regiment, composed mainly of volunteers from Pennsylvania, participated in significant battles such as Petersburg and Appomattox Courthouse, playing a role in the final campaigns leading up to the Confederate surrender and the war's conclusion in 1865. The 119th Pennsylvania Infantry was mustered out of service in July 1865.
