Premium-Quality Construction

One thing's for certain with PRS: as a guitar-maker, they understand their end-users' love of vintage tones.

With that in mind, they've crafted the S2 Custom 22's body with a solid Mahogany Back and a Flame Maple top - a tried-and-tested tonewood combination found on some of the finest-sounding guitars ever made.

These two woods come together to produce a warm and resonant tone, with plenty of natural sustain, clarity and definition.

Pattern Regular Neck

Complimenting the guitar's body is a Pattern Regular Mahogany neck, that's been capped with Rosewood inlaid with PRS Bird fret markers.

The Pattern Regular neck shape is specially designed to offer you a comfortable playing experience, regardless of where on the fretboard your hand is.

Versatile Electronics

Housed in the Bridge and Neck positions on this guitars body you'll find a pair of 85/15 "S" humbuckers, modelled after the pickups used on the Core range of guitars.

Whilst not quite as versatile as their Core series counterparts, the pickups on this guitar can still produce an incredible array of tones.

With the Tone Control in the normal position both pickups push out a classic Humbucker sound, but pull it into the up position and you're presented with a vintage pair of Single Coil pickups.

Top-Notch Hardware

One of the main reasons for PRS guitars retaining their popularity over the past three and half decades is their continual commitment to evolving their hardware based on the needs of the modern player.

In this case we have a Patented Tremolo and a set of Low Mass Locking tuners, which work perfectly together to maintain a superior level of tuning stability, as well as allowing for fast and efficient string changes.
